Description

Job Summary:  Provides full cycle recruiting from job description development and sourcing to onboarding.  Works with CPO and Hiring Managers to understand upcoming needs – short-term and long-term - and plans accordingly to meet staffing requirements.  Sources, interviews and presents high quality candidates to hiring manager.  Conducts post-offer, pre-hire screenings and is responsible for onboarding.  Will also assist in other areas of Human Resources.

Duties & Responsibilities

Works with CPO and Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs.

Works with Hiring Manager to write/update/revise job descriptions.

Meets with Hiring Manager and/or shadows current incumbent to clearly understand job duties and expectations.

Posts job openings and manages Applicant Tracking System (“ATS”).  Works with CPO on advertising and posting jobs to specific job boards.

Works with outside recruiters for specific jobs as approved by CPO.

Sources applicants through social media and other recruiting avenues.

Attends job fairs, recruiting events and organizes onsite recruiting events as needed.

Serve as the point person with the applicants/candidates from beginning to end.  Communicates with applicants and candidates on job interviews, next steps, decisions, etc.  Prepares offer letters and corresponding documents.

Assigns assessments as needed prior to interview.  Shares and explains results to hiring manager including any concerns with the data.

Notifies hiring manager, Training, IT department and other interested parties of all new hires or declinations.  Captures IT needs from hiring manager and delivers to IT timely to obtain necessary equipment by start date.

Works with candidate on all post-offer pre-employment screenings to include background and drug screening, employment verifications and references.  Discusses any concerns with screenings with CPO and references with hiring manager.

Works with HR team to send and collect employment documentation using DocuSign or HCMS.

Notifies newly hired employees of orientation start date, location, and requirements for the day.  Greets new hires, collects IDs for I-9’s and completes I-9 requirements through e-Verify.  Organizes lunch for new hires.  Works closely with Training on the Orientation process.

Works with other HR team members on the development, set up and maintenance of the HCMS with particular attention to the ATS.  Will customize the ATS to maximize its ability to manage the talent acquisition process and appropriately communicate with all candidates.

Coordinates the internal application pool including meeting with internal candidates, communicating with hiring managers, coordinating interviews and working with both managers to coordinate the start date.  Communicate with employees not selected.

Assist CPO with salary data research to ensure competitiveness of compensation packages.

Assists with employee events as needed.

Assists with other HR related activities as needed including research, compliance with employment laws and employee relations.

Communicates ideas for improvement to the supervisor.

Organizes and manages activities to show consideration of the department as a whole.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or a related field. 
  • HR certification preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of talent acquisition, staffing and HR experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Additional languages preferred.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
  • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws required.
  • Innate curiosity to understand our business in general, and our jobs and career paths, specifically.
  • Engaging and inspiring personality, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to manage multiple openings and projects at the same time.
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships with hiring leaders and candidates.
  • Strong attention to detail and well-organized in work product.  Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
